How can we improve Lumos?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. Auto date change/animation

    An option to:
    - have the dates automatically change
    - time of day
    - *delay between changes
    - step to jump (1+ days, weeks, months)
    - start date
    - number of repeats

    *This can also be expanded by nesting time auto change where set a delay between date changes gets replaced by:
    - time step to jump
    - number of repeats

  2. Solstice & Equinox Dates quick selection

    I just moved into an apartment facing west but the sunset is hidden behind a hill. I had to scroll through the dates to find the solstices. First world problems 🤣

  6. Factor in Mountains!?

    This app is brilliant and it always sets my photography up for success! Sun direction use is key, the only thing I could benefit from is accounting for mountains that may shade a building, park or specific area. Am I missing anything?, does this already exist!

  7. Watch Complications

    I would love to see sun rise/set and moon rise/set/phase complications. Sunrise and sunset exist with the built in watch capabilities, but I’ve not seen any which do moon rise and set, and yet also show phase.

  8. Sun alignment not usable.

    When there is a difference between the app sunposition and the real position, I can slide the position of the sun. The problem is the good readable sunarc with times stays on the same wrong position and only a copy of a few things is in the right (corrected) position. Please swap these two arcs so the good readable arc with times is in the right (corrected) position.

    Satellite view is always out of date. Apple maps “driving view” would be great.

    Also, the ability to suppress points of interest/business names

  13. In Map view see what phase the moon is in. Or pop up info on phase name etc

    This would help me optimize full moon gazing in my back yard. And at what time!

    If you can add an option to use GIS mapping, this would help the landscaping industry. We use it to define the property lines and easily see water ways.

  19. Display golden time etc. in app without having to use notifications

    It would be nice to be able to look up golden times, etc. just by looking in the app for a given day and location, instead of having to set notifications.
